February 17, 2006

in Human Resource Management

(i)The objectives for which it is maintained should be clearly and adequately stated.

(ii)It should be consistent with the requirements for which it is maintained and should be easily available.

(iii)Its upkeep and maintenance should not be costly. It should be kept under lock and key to ensure that it is not mislaid or pilfered, or tampered with.

(iv)It should be periodically reviewed and brought up to-date.

(v)It should be maintained in such a manner that the information it contains is easily accessible.

(vi)It should be easily identified and differentiated from another record.

(vii)The records of different kinds of information should be kept and maintained in separate files and dockets for ready reference.

(viii)Duplication of entries in different records should be avoided.

(ix)Some particular person should be entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining records.

(x)A procedural manual should be maintained, detailing the procedure to be followed for maintaining and dealing with records.

The contents specified is correct, I need one clarification whether we need to collect employees educational record i.e 10th, 10+2, degree(each year/sem) in detail or aggregate marks card. And while recording the details in our system is there any best way to record just like in software or any format please make those postings in this cite.

what should be the format for performance appraisal.

20 Suchitra Arun Singh February 14, 2009 at 1:47 pm

Performance appraisal depends upon the corresponding responsibility levels. There could be a no. of criteria on the basis of which performance of an individual can be appraised. Some of these are as follows:
1- Satisfaction of client /boss A- Department target
B- Optimal use of resources
C- Time Management
2- Role in Revenue generation
3- Quality of work
4- Role in cost cut
5- Management skills
A- Leadership
B- Co-ordination with Team members
C- Communication with Team members
D- Motivation

These points can be given different weight age points according to the RL (Responsibilty Levels) & the PA Report can be made. Furthermore, individual's KRA are also crucial while apprasing the performance.
